Join Erica Angus, Executive Director for Theatre Collingwood for her presentation on their 2018 Playbill and the Youth Drama Education Program.

Erica's biography includes:

Erica Angus came to Theatre Collingwood in 2013 as Executive Director.  Prior to this she was the Associate Producer for ten years at Theatre by the Bay in Barrie, a predominantly Shakespeare based theatre company. 

Erica brings with her a wealth of experience and connections in the arts and culture sector. 

  • She worked alongside one of Toronto’s foremost casting directors, Larissa Mair. 
  • She was a Board Member for Tourism Barrie for 6 years, with a special focus on marketing and collaborations with hoteliers, restaurants and the arts community, to attract tourists to the city through arts and culture.  
  • Erica was a founding member of Barrie’s “Lawn Chair Luminata” arts festival,
  • and was on the Downtown Community Theatre Advisory Group where she played a key role in the development and building of The Mady Center for the Performing Arts. 
  • She coordinated a highly successful program that toured the region to over 25 schools each year, teaching students about the works of William Shakespeare. 
  • She has additional training in design and in arts education for youth. 

 When Erica came to Theatre Collingwood five years ago, the company produced three shows each year.  She now curates a playbill of approximately 9 shows each year, supporting and showcasing some of Canada’s finest performers, right here in Collingwood.
